Since my very first years I was able to empirically understand the performance and processes of manual labor which was conducted with absolute precision and diligence, as I watched my parents work as Exclusive Mens Tailors.
After years of working as a model maker and constructor for major international film and museum productions, I enrolled for a BA in Product Design at AKTO Art & Design College in Athens and graduated in 2013.
Through my work, I strive to speak a global language while maintaining my own dialect, which reflects elements of my local culture. My vision is to create unique and human-centered products, by combining technology with human factors, ergonomics and design thinking.
Every design project begins with an extensive research of the particular market place, the technologies, production methods and material properties and goes on with an initial display, using both hand-drawn sketches and computer graphics. Then I move on to constructing working mockups and 3D printed prototypes at a scale, which provides for a natural three-dimensional representation of the object. This creative dialogue raises the level of inventiveness in my work and assists me in turning my ideas into something tangible, something that clients can feel with their own hands. Moreover, I engage in teamwork with engineers and other disciplines to further refine these ideas and get the most out of them.
The products I have designed range from Ceramics, Pieces of Furniture, Packaging and Every-day objects to State-of-the-art technological devices and systems.
